FRIDAY, JUNE 1ST, 4PM - 9PM

200 BLOCK, WATER VALLEY MAIN STREET

On Friday, June 1st the 200 block of Main Street will host an open house and block party to celebrate the fulfillment of façade grants and renovations. The block party begins at 4pm on Friday with musical performances starting at 5pm in the Pocket Park. Weather permitting, lawn games will be set on lawn beside The Trusty Diner.

LIVE MUSIC
FACE PAINTING
& SIDEWALK CHALK ART
Hannah McCormick, a local private lesson art teacher, freelancer and portrait painter will be here at 4pm face painting and creating sidewalk chalk art. She's an exceptional artist with a wide range of talents. We suggest visiting her website and viewing a selection of her commissioned works.
 
LOCAL ARTISTS
Deirdre Uncapher will bring her stained glass. Curtis Godwin from C&T Woodworks and Crafts will have his works for sale too.Valley STEAM Works will have activities set up!
Artist, Lauren Tyler Dalton will be here, as well as, Rooted Southern Jewelry and Dr. Andy Jones will be here with his beautifully painted gourds.
 
LAWN GAMES
We'll have a variety of lawn games for all ages: giant Jenga, yard checkerboard, twister, tic tac toe, giant Connect Four, Fishing Hole, Flamingo Ring Toss, etc. These games are being locally sponsored and will be available for other events through the Main Street Association for years to come.
CIVITELLO'S
ITALIAN ICE CART
Bryan Civitell is bringing his old fashion Italian ice cart. It's the bona fide real deal and made with real fruit. Refresh yourself!
There will be a video game in Yalorun Textiles sponsored by Bits Arcade.
Schmitz Acres will have a mini petting zoo - of goats, silkie chickens and bunnies.
